Application shortcuts
- Use the view buttons in the toolbar to switch between Editor, Split, and Preview modes.
- Sync scrolling is available in Split view to keep the editor and preview aligned.
- Review opens a read-only preview where you can comment on or suggest changes to headings, paragraphs, code blocks, and diagrams.
- New, Export, Share, Live Share, and Workspace settings are available in the header toolbar.
- Sync, Copy, Review, and view-mode controls stay together at the right edge of the document toolbar.
Toolbar descriptions
- Undo and Redo keep editing history close at hand.
- Use the Heading and Case menus for H1–H6 headings and capitalization.
- Quick formatting covers emphasis, quotes, alignment, and lists; Insert holds the longer list of content tools.
- Find and Fullscreen are in Document actions; About Markdown Viewer opens product, support, privacy, license, and project links.
Markdown tips
- Create headings with
#,##, and###prefixes. - Emphasize text with
**bold**,*italic*, or~~strikethrough~~. - Use
-or1.to build lists, and triple backticks for code blocks.
